What Do You Want to Know?
I've spent a lot of time writing about our experiences so far at OKC Compassion. Hopefully you've enjoyed some of that experience. I got to thinking tonight that you might have some questions about what we're doing that I haven't answered yet. We would LOVE to know your questions, and we'll do our best to answer them. Thanks!

i would like to know your view of instant entire sanctification and why God would give me so much material wealth if he did not want me to spend it on myself
Hi Joe, Amy and Sam
It sounds to me as though you are growing through some very humbling experiences. How do you make the gospel and salvation real for those who struggle for day to day survival?
I have lived such a priviledged life I think I would have a hard time relating to the situations that you have encountered let alone know how to share the gospel with them.
You and your family are in our prayers!

Padraic,
I think the idea of "instant" anything comes from, predominately, America. I know that's shocking to you, but I think it's true. It's interesting to me that we didn't really start hearing too much about instant entire sanctification until the Americans began to mangle some theology. I think John Wesley spoke of it in these terms, but I certainly don't believe that he believed it happened in one instant and that was it.
I do think it starts somewhere, much like your love for Roxanne did. But you didn't fully or entirely love her and you still don't, but you are growing to know all that means. Wealth? We'll have to save that for another day.
Liz,
I think the only way to make the gospel and salvation real for those who struggle with day to do survival is to embody the gospel before them. Often times, as you might suspect, they are the ones embodying the gospel for us, teaching us what it means to love unconditionally and to serve out of poverty. We have a lot to learn! Thanks!
